Hey, folks. I hope that the start of a new year finds you in good mental and physical health. I wanted to provide a brief update about the status of camp this coming summer.
With the roll-out of vaccinations underway and an updated national coordinated effort to fight the virus around the corner, we are optimistic about the prospect of hosting in-person camp sessions in 2021. While the future looks bright, there is a lot of uncertainty and a lot that is outside of our control that will affect whether or not we have the opportunity to host camp this summer. For these reasons, we are unable to make any announcements at this time.
One thing that is clear is that we will still be still be experiencing the impacts of this virus throughout the year ahead of us, so work is underway now to begin planning to operate camp as safely as possible. We remain committed to following local and state guidelines for in-person gatherings, as well as the data-driven recommendations of scientists and doctors. The CQNW Board of Directors will continue to meet each month and will evaluate the situation as it develops and will provide any updates as soon as possible.
Thank you again for your continued support of Camp Quest NorthWest!
Mike Warbington, CQNW President
