Join us for the 2025 CQNW Critter Quest!
Step into the old-growth forests of the Pacific Northwest and uncover the hidden world of insects. Families and community members of all ages are invited to explore together—spotting beetles, damselflies, spiders, and more. Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned bug enthusiast, this hands-on adventure is a fun way to connect with nature, learn something new, and celebrate the small wonders all around us.
This is a family-friendly event: kids and teens are welcome when adventuring with their parent or guardian.

Pets – for the safety of wildlife and participants.
Valuable or fragile items – jewelry, electronics, or anything you don’t want damaged outdoors.
Scented products – perfumes, colognes, or heavily scented lotions, which can attract insects you don’t want to meet.
Collecting chemicals or sprays – we’ll practice safe, hands-off bug observation; no harmful materials are allowed.
Sports equipment, toys, or unrelated games – we’ll provide all necessary tools and activities.
Alcohol, drugs, and tobacco products – this is a family-friendly community event.

A picnic lunch is included with registration. If you or anyone in your group has food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know during registration so we can plan accordingly. You are also welcome to bring your own food if that’s a better fit.
If you or your child has other allergies (such as insect stings or environmental triggers), please bring any necessary medications (like an EpiPen or antihistamines). While we’ll do our best to minimize risks, the event takes place outdoors in a natural forest setting where exposure to common allergens (pollen, insects, etc.) is possible.
